Project Founder/Director
Federico Hewson started the VPP as a participation project for peace around the day of love in February and is developing it as a business with social purpose combining community activities with creative peace products. He grew up in San Francisco with an Italian mother and British father and was a performance artist for many years in Los Angeles, a volunteer for the US Peace Alliance and proposed US Department of Peacebuilding, a co-director and community curator for Chicago's Blue Rider Theatre and co-founder of Same Planet Different World dance theatre. He is a US and UK citizen, and works to bring his activism and artistry together for new potentials in our transformative time.
